Photography, 11" x 17", 2015

In this photo series I'm exploring the idea of a possible coexistence of opposites. Palindrome is a wishful discourse where opposite positions can be read as the same.
The piece is constructed using real/ literal and imagined/ poetic objects combined through spontaneous and precise actions, tactile and digital.
A painting of book pages is used as a backdrop, with textual colors (books: black on white, blackboard: white on black). Part of a larger story, the pages are a state of transition connecting past, present and future.
With this series I intend to find new meanings, where places are in-betweens and time is suspended in uncertainty. Twoness, has been a reoccurring theme in my work. I continuously explore ways to challenge self imposed boundaries, by creating gestures of self cancelation which would allow new possibilities to come forward.
